Looking to get started on becoming a femboy? You came to the right place!
Whether you’re planning for a job application at Femboy Hooters, or you just want to improve how you look, below we’ve outlined all of the steps for getting started on the road to looking your best.
Table of Contents
What is a Femboy?
If I’ve learned anything in talking with some of the people in communities like this one, it’s that the character traits that define a femboy are entirely subjective.
While we’ve tried to compile as many broadly helpful resources on the topic as we can, ultimately the direction you move in will be unique to you.
Before you get started, be sure to ask yourself: what am I looking to see out of becoming a femboy or learning about that lifestyle?
Common Concerns
Before we get into the broader strokes of becoming a femboy, I want to first touch on some of the concerns newcomers might have.
I’ve seen so many people in this community, especially those who are younger, face some of these obstacles, and decide to give up without ever giving it a second thought.
The reality is that usually many of these concerns don’t have merit, and you can still accomplish nearly every piece of becoming a femboy regardless of what it is that stands in your way.
I Look Too Masculine
This is a common one.
Some guys who are interested in looking more feminine tend to look in the mirror rather than into the future.
It’s important to understand that there’s a lot that goes into looking both feminine and masculine. And as such, there’s a lot you can do to shift one way or the other.
While there are some people who may be genetically predisposed to looking more feminine, please understand that’s not a must for you to be able to do it too.
If you do feel you look masculine, trust me, you’d be surprised how much more feminine you could look if you started caring for yourself the same way somebody feminine would.
With the right haircare, skincare, and bodycare routines, coupled with dressing the part, there’s very little the average person can’t accomplish.
I’m Too Tall
And there are tall femboys out there, surprise surprise.
This is a point commonly used to gatekeep a lot of people in certain gay communities as well.
Understand this: if you’re putting a lot of time into looking your best, whoever that target audience is will see it, and they won’t stop seeing all that effort just because you’re a little on the tall side.
Trust me, it doesn’t mean you can’t look the part, and if anything, not fitting some 5-foot tall (152cm) mold perfectly definitely makes you a more interesting person to be with.
There’s somebody out there for everybody, and I don’t know how this stigma on height ever got started.
I’m Too Old
And what, do you think these femboys just disappear off the face of the earth when they inevitably get older?
First of all, if you’re younger than your early 30s, just stop reading this section.
There’s a common social idea that femboys are on the younger side, but being young is incredibly subjective.
Somebody in their thirties is going to look at somebody who’s 23 as being young, and this only keeps happening as you get older.
There’s something to be said here: being young is not always a great thing, especially when it comes to being in a more serious relationship.
Different people of different ages are all looking for different things.
You can look like a femboy or find femboys at any stage of life.
I’ve seen it. I’m certain of it.
I Weight Too Much/I’m Too Muscly
These two are prefect counterparts in that both are ludicrous, and worrying about either is usually just an indicator that you’re not putting yourself out there as much as you should be.
I know that’s maybe tough love, but please heed my words.
There are an incredible amount of people who are not looking for skinny twigs.
With that said, as you may have come to believe, there very much are people out there looking for skinny twigs; but this idea is true for everything in between, too.
Somehow this concept of weighing an even 100 pounds (45kg) has been attributed to femboys.
I don’t know who started this, but you can’t weigh that little and also have some huge juicy butt or thighs.
There’s a balance here, and so many people looking for everything in the grand spectrum of heights, weights, and so on, so please don’t worry a bit about it.
Areas of Focus
Given that being a femboy is subjective, it’s hard to give perfect advice that’s not a little loose.
I’m going to try to bridge that gap by highlighting three of the broader points that I feel have a lot of overlap with the idea of a femboy.
Those three points are going to be hair removal, clothing, and skincare. Skincare will include a path towards smoother, softer skin.
Hair Removal
Smooth hairless thighs and a clean-shaven butt are cornerstones of the femboy build.
With that said, we have a really big guide on this site that describes every method of at-home hair removal, along with tips and comparison information to help you pick the best path forward.
Additionally, we have some great guides on the fastest ways to get rid of all your hair, how to Nair your thighs, and how to shave your butt.
The broad goal here is to remove all of the body hair on your lower half; most notably your thighs, pubes, and butt.
The most traditional way to do this is by shaving, but there are also other options for hair removal, such as trimming, waxing, epilating, depilatory creams (Nair/Veet/Nads), tweezing, IPL kits, and more.
Knowing which one is right for you will take a little bit of experimentation, but below I’ve included a really high level set of points that summarizes each of these techniques.
- Shaving can be great, but with bad technique, any of these methods will fall short. Be sure to get nice razors and keep in mind the best practices for shaving.
- Trimming is a really quick way to get a consistent shave that you can keep up with a good routine. Some trimmers are designed to give you a really close shave.
- Waxing will truly get you hairless, and for longer than shaving, but it comes with pain and can cost you money.
- Epilating is like waxing but without recurring costs for accessories.
- Depilatory creams are fast and thorough when they work, which isn’t all the time, and you have to be careful with using them on your more sensitive areas.
- Some people choose to use tweezers and go to town, though this only really works for your pubes.
- IPL kits are a great introduction to long term hair removal, but those kits have skin-tone limitations and can be very pricey.
